Doha Gharbi is organizing the Ouma of Monastir in Tunisia. 1,000 children will prepare and train for the Ouma on on September 4th, 5th and 6th.
“I consider that Ouma is on the good trajectory,” says ouma creator Nejib Belhedi. “I consider that Ouma of Monastir will bring excellent results, marking a big turn-around in the history of the evolution of Ouma. In Monastir, Ouma is becoming officially institutionalized and properly supervised while managed by the Youth Council. Meanwhile, Ouma is being managed by young swimmers themselves.
I think that this approach by the Youth Council for Ouma, encouraged by Mayor Ali Mzal of Monastir City, will become the standard model that will be replicated in many regions in Tunisia.”
