Hank Wise Honored By Guinness World Records

Long Beach swimmer Hank Wise was honored by Guinness World Records for his 7 career Catalina Channel crossings – to date – at the WOWSA Ocean Fest held in Redondo Beach, California on October 5th.
The King of the Catalina Channel has completed the following Catalina Channel crossings to date:
#1 Solo: October 2010 from Catalina Island to the mainland in 8 hours 7 minutes 3 seconds at the age of 42
#2 Solo: June 2015 from the mainland to Catalina Island in 8 hours 7 minutes 37 minutes at the age of 47
#1 Relay: October 2011, part of the record-setting Long Beach Swim Focus Catalina Relay in 6 hours 53 minutes 4 seconds
#3 Solo: October 2015 from Catalina Island to the mainland in 10 hours 56 minutes 44 minutes at the age of 47
#4 Solo: November 2016 from Catalina Island to the mainland in 8 hours 20 minutes 10 seconds at the age of 48
#5 Solo: October 2017 from Catalina Island to the mainland in 10 hours 14 minutes at the age of 49
#6 Solo: November 2017 from the mainland to Catalina Island in 10 hours 1 minute at the age of 49
#7 Solo: October 2018 from Catalina Island to the mainland in 7 hours 55 minutes 6 seconds at the age of 50
