Yasunari Hirai’s Water World

Yasunari Hirai finished within 5 seconds of the gold medalist in the 2016 Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in Copacabana Beach at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Ferry Weertman won gold in 1:52:59.8 versus Hirai who was closing very fast in 1:53:04.6.

The two-time Japanese marathon swimmer is very comfortable in the water, having trained and raced all over the world, from Australia to Brazil, China to Italy.

But he has his own brand of water in the leadup to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Japanese characters on the YASU WATER (ヤス ウォーター) bottle reads, “Rio Olympics marathon swimming Japanese representative. Hirai Yasunari. Heading towards the big stage for the second time!
