Wynn Got The Better Of The Wind

Sitting on the coastline of Southern California after a 11 hour 21 minute crossing, Andrew Wynn caught his breath after a rocky crossing of the Catalina Channel.

According to his Catalina Channel Swimming Federation crew of Timettra Wellington, Donald Van Cleve and Brad Magit, he caught the tail end of a passing weather system that produced rough conditions in the Catalina Channel. “But he managed to persevere and successfully complete his crossing.”

A veteran of currents and the cold due to his regular participation in open water swims in the San Francisco Bay area (Escape from Alcatraz, Bridge to Bridge 10K swims, and Night Train Swimmers events), his experience was invaluable during his channel crossing.
