World Record Holders To Be Honored In Murmansk

Ram Barkai of the International Ice Swimming Association and Dmitry Blokhin, event organizer of the International Ice Swimming 3rd World Championships are rolling out the red carpet for the ice swimmers from around the world in Murmansk, Russia.

Guinness World Records is honoring each of the former and current Ice Kilometer world record holders with their customized GWR certificate at the festivities.

The female record holders include:

* March 20th 2015: Renata Nováková (Czech Republic) IISA 1st World Championship in 14:21.0
* December 3rd 2016: Julia Wittig (Germany) Ice Cup Burghausen powered by Aqua Sphere in 13:07.5
* January 7 2018: Hanna Bakuniak (Poland) Ice Swimming German Open in 13:05.7
* January 6th 2019: Alisa Fatum (Germany) Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere German Open in 12:48.7

The male record holders include:

* March 20th 2015: Christof Wandratsch (Germany) IISA 1st World Championship in 13:00.0
* January 10th 2016: Petar Stoychev (Bulgaria) Aqua Sphere Ice Swimming German Open Burghausen in 12:28.0
* January 6th 2017: Petar Stoychev (Bulgaria) 2nd Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in 12:15.9
* February 16th 2019: Sven Elfferich (Netherlands) Austrian Ice Swimming Championships in 11:55.4
