In the area of the Planet Earth’s worse weather, the Type D or subantarctic killer whale exists. The orcas are highly likely to be a new species reported National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration researcher Robert Pitman to National Geographic Magazine.

With a growing number of ice swimmers swimming between latitude 40° and 40° south, it is only a matter of time before some adventurous swimmer and their escort crews encounter the subantarctic killer whale.
