When open water swimmers think of or talk about Jaws, they almost inevitably refer to the 1975 American movie by Steven Spielberg about a giant Great White Shark on Amity Island.
When surfers think of or talk about Jaws, they almost inevitably refer to Peʻahi on the north shore of the island of Maui in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It has lent its name to a big wave surfing break, also known as Jaws.
Paige, a short film about big wave surfer Paige Alms, is showcased at the 16th International Ocean Film Festival.
