What Did Ben Lecomte Do For 160 Days In The Pacific?

Ben Lecomte attempted a transpacific solo stage swim from Choshi, Japan, starting on June 5th to San Francisco, California across the Pacific Ocean.
En route on the Seeker via modern technology, Lecomte gave a speech about what he faces every day on the Pacific.
His speech was shown at the 2018 Open Water Summit at the Olympic Club in San Francisco on November 10th.
Unfortunately, after this speech and 160 days since starting, The Swim was aborted due to safety concerns and damaged equipment on the Seeker, his escort mothership. But Lecomte swam 1,523 nautical miles (2,822 km) after a 160-day period before calling The Swim that was estimated to take approximately 6-8 months to cross over 5,419 miles (8,721 km) across the world’s largest body of water.
After making a decision to abort The Swim, Lecomte and his crew headed to the closest land which was Hawaii. On his 191st day, they finally reached Oahu and were warmly greeted by local ocean swimmers (Pat Goding, Jessica Orfe, Jeanne Furukawa, Deydre Teyhen, and Leigh Ferreira Slattery), fans and beachgoers on Waikiki [see here].
