The 2016 “Think like a human, swim like a fish” Check off Challenge is hosted by the Long Beach Grunions Masters, is designed to motivate swimmers in Southern California by encouraging them to swim 18 pool events and 1 open water swim during the calendar year.
“Whether swimming an event for the first time or striving to achieve a personal best, this is a fun challenge for swimmers of all ability levels,” explains Anita Cole. “The events maybe completed during practice or at swim meet competitions in yards or meters at any time during 2016.
The scoring is on the honor system unless your coach decides to make it a formal team event. Throughout the year mark or check off each event you swam on your towel and certificate. You may ask your coach to sign your certificate upon completion of all 19 events for further recognition.”
The Check Off Challenge is open to all U.S. Masters Swimming members at a cost of US$30 + tax.
The cost of participation includes a towel, cap, certificate of completion, and packaging and shipping to the participant.
