The six veteran marathon swimmers lived up to David Barra’s mantra, “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.”

They completed the 7-day, 7-stage 120-mile (193 km) 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim from June 19th through June 26th swimming from the Rip Van Winkle Bridge to the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge to the Mid-Hudson Bridge to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge to the Bear Mountain Bridge to the Tappan Zee Bridge to the George Washington Bridge, and to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, joining 15 others who have also completed the longest swimming competition in the world:
