The 7 teams at the King and Queen of the Sea on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil were focused and intense today. They all wanted to win so badly in front of the national television audience of TV Globo.

The athletes came out of the water totally spent and exhausted. Their chests were heaving heavily, their legs buckled underneath them, and their faces were flush red.

It is always inspirational to watch athletes racing not only for themselves and their teammates, but also for their country.
