Swimming In St Lucia’s Soufriere Bay

In the eastern Caribbean Sea, the St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association hosted the 1K Soufriere Open Water Swimming Challenge in Soufriere Bay.

Joshua Adjodha of Castries won in 15:11 with Jamie Peterkin of Castries second in 15:12 and Joshua Runako Daniel of Castries third in 15:35.94.

Mark Emmanus of Laborie won the 12&U division. Eden Crick and Sofia Spiegelberg of Castries won the 12&U for girls in 28:18.

The volcanic island of Saint Lucia is more mountainous than other Caribbean islands. Soufrière is on the western side of the island that has a drive-in volcano.
