Stephen Millar is the Chairperson of the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association and Race Secretary for the East Coast Adventure Gunnaway Swim and the Gannaway Rock Swim in Ireland.
His long career and sponsorship of open water events was recognized by the Hall of Fame – Marathon Swimming Ireland and he was inducted in the Hall of Fame as an Honour Contributor, Administrator.
Kieran Fitzgerald, a Class of 2018 Honoree, announced the following five new Honorees in the Hall of Fame – Marathon Swimming Ireland:
* Honour Contributor Stephen Millar, Administrator
* Honour Contributor Sandycove Island Swimmers, Organization
* Honour Swimmer Anne-Marie Ward
* Honour Swimmer Gráinne Moss (née Gunn)
* Honour Swimmer Ion Lazarenco Tiron
* Honour Swimmer Ned Denison
Miller and his fellow inductees will be honored at an awards ceremony in Belfast in February, 2019.
