Salvatore Cimmino, Nominee For The World Open Water Swimming Man Of The Year

Salvatore Cimmino is swimming in the Seas of the Globe in order to raise awareness about physical disabilities. After getting his leg amputated at the age of 15, his passion to help others drives him around the world. In addition to swims in Israel and Italy, Salvatore swam 42K in Argentina, 20K in Canada and was the first disabled person to swim across the Cook Strait in New Zealand.

He shows people what is possible and inspires people to dream big. His swims enable others to obtain prosthetic aids and to remove architectural barriers. For his efforts, Savatore Cimmino is nominated for the 2011 World Open Water Swimming Man of the Year.
