Proposing In The Open Water

Lucky Meisenheimer reported that David Head and Kimberly Hawkins had a special day before one of their swims in Orlando’s Lake Cane.

Head proposed to Hawkins who has crossed Lake Cane over 1,000 times during her career.

We have had many married couples swim the lake and we have had folks meet at the lake and later tie the knot,” said Meisenheimer. “But we just had our first engagement proposal before the start of today’s swim [between] David and Kimberly.”

The occasion reminded us of the Brazilian couple who swam and finished together at yesterday’s 2 km Classic race in Copacabana Beach’s King and Queen of the Sea (Rei e Rainha do Mar). See below:
