In tomorrow’s women’s 5K world championship, there will be plenty of completely fresh swimmers like Danielle De Francesco of Australia, Alice Franco of Italy going up against the women who competed in the 5K and who are hungry for a world championship medal, including Poliana Okimoto of Brazil and Eva Fabian who collided and missed a buoy at the last stages of the 10K race.
There are also others like Keri-Anne Payne of Great Britain, Yurema Requena of Spain and Ekaterina Seliverstova of Russia who want to get back on the podium and prove themselves among the world’s elite again.
It is going to be a great race – physical and fast. Strategy: go out fast and keep it up until the end.
