Red Bull Media House produced a documentary about Olympic rowing silver medalists and brothers Paul and Gary O’Donovan. The Way of The Wildcard gives a brief insight into the hometown of the first Oceans Seven swimmer, Stephen Redmond.

“When Redmond was seeking to become the first person to complete the Oceans Seven, he mentioned more than once that he was an underdog swimming against better, faster, more well-funded athletes,” recalled Steven Munatones. “When he failed not once, not twice, not three times across the Tsugaru Channel, he spoke about how a washed-up rugby player from Ireland was taking on a challenge that no one had ever completed before – and that he could not return home without success.

After watching this documentary about the athletes from Skibbereen, I now understands much better, more deeply what Stephen said in 2012.”
