The film Rescue Men a riveting story of heroic, selfless lifesavers who overcame the elements and the society in which they lived…and excelled.

Rescue Men tells the story of the Pea Island Life Savers who accomplished the impossible during a hurricane-thrashed night in 1896. This historic all-black crew etched themselves into history by rescuing stranded sailors off the Outer Banks of North Carolina whose ship had sunk in the raging Atlantic Ocean.

The film is an engaging look back at the early U.S. Life-Saving Service which is now the United States Coast Guard.
