Olympic coach John Dussliere captured the informative and entertaining post-race interview with world champions Martina Grimaldi of Italy, Eva Fabian of the USA and Poliana Okimoto of Brazil after the London 10km Marathon Swimming International here last week.
The athletes were universally complimented their British hosts and the race course itself.
“I felt really good and I really enjoyed it,” said 17-year-old Eva who will be entering Yale University this fall. But her competitors wisely commented that next year there will be even more contact at the Olympics, where the stakes will be significantly higher. “People will be fighting for medals and it will be more intense.”
How true.
