Goose Bumps While Swimming 8 Bridges

Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California.

I got goose bumps swimming under the George Washington bridge and seeing the beginning of the Manhattan skyline. [It was] absolutely incredible,” said Steve Gruenwald at the 15.7-mile (25.2 km) Stage 6 of the 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim.

Like leader Cheryl Reinke, Gruenwald swam Stage 6 to the Little Red Lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge.

Tomorrow, the last stage with the Verrazano–Narrows Bridge awaits as the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean.
