Front page news in Japan described the nearly always turbulent Tsugaru Channel, its successes and failures during the 2015 season, its history, and how solo attempts and relay teams are coordinated by Masayuki Moriya of Ocean Navi.
Photo includes the Ocean Navi team of Atusko Tamaru, Sakae Morikawa, Kiyoko Inoue, Morihiko Inokuma, Sanae Kataoka, and Tamotsu Naito under the guidance of escort boat pilot Captain Mizushima before their relay crossing the Tsugaru Channel from Honshu to Hokkaido in northern Japan in 13 hours 33 minutes in September this year.
