Kimberley Chambers Goes Back To The Future

Homecoming Day: Farallon Islands Tour and Swim, October 3rd 2015 from Kimberley Chambers on Vimeo.

Kimberley Chambers joined the scientists at the Farallon Islands for a personal tour. “This trip was very significant for me, not the least of which because it was my first trip back to the islands since my solo Farallon Islands swim back in August.

I was deeply honored for the rare invitation to tour the islands, it was the most amazing celebratory gift. The chance of a lifetime to step foot on the islands which are a federal marine sanctuary, a collection of islands that hold a very meaningful place in my heart.

And last, but not least, at the conclusion of my tour I took a little dip in the cove where I began my solo swim at 11:15 pm on Friday 7th August. It was a much needed first stroke forward in the long personal journey of processing my achievement and the perfect ending for my homecoming day.”
