Andy Davis of Penfield Search Partners is putting on another ocean swim.

The veteran open water swimmer from Connecticut trains almost year-round at Penfield Beach on America’s East Coast and has hosted both the inaugural 5.2-mile Cold Water Challenge and the follow-up Cold Water Classic.

Now he is introducing another new open water event called the Fairfield YMCA Mile Swim. Presented by Penfield Search Partners, the charity race is held on September 20th with a rain date the following day.

Registration discounts are available until September 9th here where proceeds benefit the Annual Campaign which provides financial assistance for children, families and individuals to participate in Fairfield YMCA programs.

Davis, a veteran cold-water swimmer, can appreciate the expected conditions of the race. “The warm the weather has been supporting warm water, mid-summer conditions for the race.”
