Andrew Truscott from Jersey has been building up to his most recent unprecedented swim from Jersey to France and back.

As a teenager, he completed a 66 km Round Jersey in 10 hours 39 minutes. Then, at the age of 34, he completed the 2015 Tampa Bay Marathon Swim in 13 hours 11 minutes.

Then he started on his channel swimming that summer. He first completed a 22.5 km crossing from Jersey to France in 7 hours 7 minutes. He then crossed the English Channel in 13 hours 57 minutes the next summer.

This July, he became the first person to swim from Jersey to France and back, finishing a circular course in 16 hours 39 minutes.
