Nishinippon TV Broadcasts Swim Shōdoshima

Spread the love

Steven Munatones (63, USA, MSF bio here, @steven.munatones) completed the Swim Shōdoshimaスイム小豆島) event in six days. “The original plan was for Nishinippon Broadcasting to telecast live segments on the stage swim on every day. But because two typhoons came through Japan, the risk for the TV company to send their reporters and cameramen out on the water with us was too great. Then because of the heavy rainfall and street flooding, there was another day where the planned live telecast was cancelled.

So Kosuke Nakagiri was only able to capture and televise a portion of what he had planned, but his summary telecast is greatly appreciated.

aAs was all the hard work that the dryland team and on-water support team of Chris Morgan, Jessie Salas (@coachjsalas), and Skyler Munatones did, always at my side along with IMSHOF Honor Swimmer Yuko Matsuzaki (63, Japan, MSF bio here) serving as the videographer and observer throughout the swim.”
