The focus of the Ocean Recovery Alliance is to bring together new ways of thinking, technologies, creativity and collaborations in order to introduce innovative projects and initiatives that will help improve the ocean environment. This includes creating business opportunities for local communities when applicable, in order to address some of the pressing issues that our ocean faces today including a reduction and recycling of the plastics created on land that find their way to the world’s open bodies of water.

Woodring is also serving as the Guest of Honor at the 29th Samsung Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race (Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim or Samsung Boğazıçi Kitalararasi Yarislari or Samsung Boğaziçi Kıtalararası Yüzme Yarışı or the Bosphorous Strait Swim) on July 23rd.
