12-Minute Barrier Cracked By Christof Wandratsch In The Ice

Christof Wandratsch cracked the 12-minute mark in the 1000m ice kilometer, setting a new world record in 11:59.97.

Swimming faster than a 1:08 pace per 100m at the International Ice Swimming Association race in Vienna, Austria where the water was 4.3°C. His next competition will be at the you in January in his native Germany where he may even swim faster at the 2nd Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships and the 3rd Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere German Open on January 5th-8th 2017 in Burghausen, Bavaria.
