From the shores of Lake Memphremagog in Vermont, race director Phil White is planning for another busy summer in 2020 – and is in need to many yackers to help escort swimmers via kayakers on his multiple open water swims.
White announced the 2020 swim schedule:
June 27th: Son of a Swim, 10, 6, 4, and 2-mile courses from The Clubhous to and around our islands in Derby Bay
July 6th – 8th: First 3-day window for In Search of Memphre, a 25-mile cross-border swim between Newport, Vermont and Magog, Québec for 1-3 swimmers supported by an escort boat and pilot
July 14th-16th: Second 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
July 25th: 12th Annual Kingdom Swim including 25 km Border Buster, 10-mile, 10 km, 5 km and 1-mile, 1/4-mile and 100-yard courses including the 2020 10-mile U.S. Masters Swimming Ultra Marathon Distance Open Water National Championship
July 28th-30th: Third 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
August 3th-5th: Fourth 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
August 8th – 16th: Swim the Kingdom Week – 8 Lakes – 9 days – 46 miles – 4 marathon swims where participants can swim one or all eight swim. Shorter options are available for each swim, except Lake Willoughby. Double crossing options are available on Lake Massawippi and Lake Willoughby:
* 5-mile Crystal Swim on August 8th
* 4-mile Island Pond Swim on August 9th
* 9-mile Massawippi Swim on August 10th
* 10 km Seymour Swim on August 11th
* 12 km Echo Swim on August 12th
* 10 km Memphremagog Clubhous Swim on August 13th
* 5-mile Willoughby Swim on August 15th
* 1.5- and 3-mile Caspian Swim on August 16th
August 26th – 28th: Fifth 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
September 1st – 3rd: Sixth 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
September 7th – 9th: Seventh 3-day window for In Search of Memphre
