Doc Lucky’s Golden Mile, a 1.5 km swim in Lake Cane, Florida is open to only 300 people – and it to fill in a blink of an eye if it is not already sold out.
The event celebrates the 30 years of daily lake swimming in Lake Cane.
Visionary Lucky Meisenheimer describes the event, “The Golden Mile is unlike any other open water swim ever contested. I guarantee you will hate yourself for the rest of your life if you miss out on signing up for the inaugural race where real gold, silver and bronze medals will be given to the top three male and female competitors.
Additional gold, silver and bronze medals will be given to the top three males and females based on established handicap that are still being developed.
Handicapping is based on the current world records for the 1500m freestyle for each age group.
