Swimmers are known for their self-discipline and self-control. Hour after hour, day after day, month after month, year after year, swimming get up early and sometimes do double workouts – with loads of dryland training and early nights and sacrifice with intense discipline 24/7/365.

But take them to a restaurant after a long, hard workout… and get out of their way.

They can mow down a meal (or two).

Yasunari Hirai, Japan’s Olympic 10K Marathon Swimmer in London, is a frequent visitor to all kinds of interesting restaurants and dining locations throughout Tokyo.
