Olympian and world champion Keri-Anne Payne and her Scottish double Commonwealth Games gold medalist husband David Carry will attend this weekend’s 2014 Global Open Water Swimming Conference in Scotland.
As Payne is still busy building her illustrious career and leading open water swims the world over, the former greats of the open water swimming world will gather on the Isle of Bute for 3 days of honoring outstanding accomplishments of the past.
Payne is currently the face of open water swimming and one of its most eloquent ambassadors in contemporary times. She will mingle with the open water swimming heroes and heroines of previous generations including Shelley Taylor-Smith (Australia), Kevin Murphy (England), Elizabeth Fry (USA), Vojislav Mijić (Serbia), Dr. Jane Katz (USA), Melissa Cunningham (Australia), Sandra Bucha (USA), Claudio Plit (Argentina), and David Yudovin (USA) – some of whom are still swimming.
