It is not often that Sports Illustrated writes about open water swimming, but when it does publish an article on open water swimming, it is always a beautiful piece.

Jon Wertheim wrote a fascinating article entitle Sea of Dreams: How William Wrigley Jr. brought the Wrigley Ocean Marathon to life about 17-year-old George Young‘s victory at the January 1927 Wrigley Ocean Marathon Swim across the Catalina Channel.
