What Keo Nakama Started, Penny Palfrey Wants To Finish

Hawaii Public Radio‘s show, The Conversation, briefly interviewed Penny Palfrey on its March 7th 30-minute show as she readies herself for an assault on the Molokai Channel later this week.

One of the greatest swimmers of the 1940s, Keo Nakama, was the first to complete this channel in 1961 – and success is certainly not a given for the channel has defeated many great swimmers over the decades with its notorious mountains of waves and abundant marine life.
