The response to the first Global Open Water Swimming Safety Conference sponsored by U.S. Masters Swimming and Pacific Masters Swimming has been outstanding. The global community has come together in support of one another and for the future of the sport as hundreds of race directors, coaches, administrators and officials will come together in San Francisco on March 18th – 20th.
The participants and panelists will discuss safety issues in cold water, warm water, rough water and polluted water. Discussions will center around mass participation swims, amateur events, professional marathon swims, relay races and solo swims. Discussions, dialogue and debate among like-minded professional safety officers and race directors will generate recommendations on emergencies and contingencies as well as plans, protocols, policies and procedures.
An opportunity not be to missed.
