What Comes Around, Goes Around: Linda Clarke Completes A False Bay Crossing

On New Year’s Day, Linda Clarke helped crew for John Charles Curley (@johncharles.curley) who completed a 33 km crossing of False Bay between Rooi Els to Miller’s Point in South Africa in 10 hours 38 minutes.

Five days later, starting at 2:00 am, Curley was in the escort boat and it was the 50-year-old Clarke in the water with Derrick Frazer  of Big Bay Events (@bigbayevents) piloting.

Followed occasionally by dolphins under uncalm conditions and suffering from numerous Portuguese man o’ war stings, the top Leinster marathon swimmer became the first Irish female to complete a crossing of False Bay in 10 hours 27 minutes on January 5.
