Today, Water World Swim kicks off its season with a day of 54°F (12°C) in San Francisco Bay.
“It’s a good time to get back in the Bay – and in time for our first monthly Alcatraz of the year on March 18th,” announced Pedro Ordenes.
Its events, clinics and crossings include:
*March 18th: March Monthly Alcatraz to Aquatic Park
*April 15th: April Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
*April 29th: Triathlon/Swim Clinic at Alcatraz
*May 13th: Alcatraz Classic
*May 27th: Triathlon/Swim Clinic at Alcatraz
*June 3rd: Triathlon/Swim Clinic at Alcatraz
*June 8th: Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon St. Francis clinic
*June 9th: Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon Alcatraz clinic
*June 10th: Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon St. Francis clinic
*June 10th: Alcatraz Test Swim, with an off-shore clinic at St. Francis and a hop-in, hop-out clinic near Alcatraz
*June 24th: June Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
*July 2nd: Swim Around the Rock, swim out from St. Francis, around Alcatraz and into Aquatic Park
*July 22nd: 1.75-mile Golden Gate Bridge to St. Francis, friendly race with views of the Presidio, Palace of the Fine Arts, and Alcatraz
*July 29th: July Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
*August 5th: Bridge to Bridge 10K from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge
*August 26th: August Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
*September 2nd: September Island to Island from Alcatraz to Angel Island
*September 30th: Alcatraz Swim with the Centurions
*October 14th: October Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
*October 21st: Golden Gate Bridge, in the water under the Golden Gate Bridge
*November 11th: November Monthly Alcatraz to St. Francis
