Unique Awards In The Open Water Swimming World, Part 10

Cherelle Osteringer (23) in 1:30:43 and John de Mestre (52) in 1:33:01 won the 2014 Hawaiian Christmas Looong Distance Invitational Rough-H2O Swim on Oahu.

Eric Nilsson (25) in 1:32:54 and Victoria West (31) in 1:49:35 won the 2012 Hawaiian Christmas Looong Distance Invitational Rough-H2O Swim in Waikiki Beach.

Jim Anderson has long handed out unique awards for his 7 km Hawaiian Christmas Looong Distance Invitational Rough-H2O Swim held in Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu.

Known as the Double Roughwater, the awards are colorful stain glass artwork and objects of local fish including clownfish and Humuhumu’ele’ele.
