Like open water swimmer Natalie du Toit of South Africa who had the honor of carrying her country’s flag at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008, three-time Olympic medalist and 10 km marathon swimming champion Oussama Mellouli will carry the Tunisian flag at the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
He previously carried his country’s flag at the Closing Ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics.
