Tides Were In Our Favor

Ricardo Valdivia won the 7-mile Swim Around Lido Key swimming away in under 2.5 hours for 7 miles around the island.

It was a beautiful sunny day with very mild winds and the tides were in our favor.

The location on Lido Beach near the fashionable St. Armand’s Circle was idyllic. The race was well organized and the water temperature was close to 80°F.

Art Deco designed trophies for the top five men, women and relays were suitable for the mantle over the fireplace, with medals for all finishers. We had a tasty catered lunch from Chipotle after the race as well. It was truly a race to come back to next year.
