The results of the Three Rivers Marathon Swim, organized by Darren Miller, are below.

The annual 30 km three-river competition is held in the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela Rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a charity swim for the Forever Fund.

It turned out to be a pretty amazing day out there,” said Miller.

Official Results:
1. John Humenik and Stephen Rouch 7:27:26 [tied with a new course record*]
3. Christopher Graefe 8:04:05
4. Abby Fairman 9:07:34
5. Devon Clifford 9:31:33
6. Tim Root 9:44:22
7. Jan Burton 10:06:52
8. John Batchelder 10:10:40 [butterfly]
9. Kyle Gallagher 10:38:27
10. Paula Yankauskas 11:42:45
11. Tom Minnock 11:51:12

What is remarkable about these results is the year-long effort that John Batchelder is doing in the non-freestyle marathon swimming world. The standard for a calendar-year butterfly marathon swimming effort was previously set by Danny Projansky in 2014 when he completed 70 miles (112.65 km) of butterfly marathon swimming. “So far this year, it looks like John has completed 160 miles (257.49 km) in butterfly, and he’s still talking about the Catalina Channel in October,” remarked Brian Suddeth.

His butterfly swims have included the 20 Bridges Manhattan Island Swim, Extreme North Dakota Watersports Endurance Test, In Search of Memphré, Portland Bridge Swim, S.C.A.R. Swim Challenge Canyon Lake, S.C.A.R. Swim Challenge Saguaro Lake, Tampa Bay Marathon Swim, and the Three Rivers Marathon Swim.”

* Humenik and Rouch broke the existing record co-held by Humenik and Sarah Thomas in 7 hours 48 minutes 48 seconds.
