The New Tekrapod By John Hanley
Courtesy of Kickstarter.
John Hanley is a 3-time Ironman triathlete and active open water swimmer.
As an engineer with over 30 years experience, he thought he could improve upon the standard tow floats that he had seen in various open water swimming locations. “Our team of open water swimmers couldn’t find a comprehensive safety device that fulfilled the needs of open water swimmers.
The current safety devices altered or interfered with your stroke, became tangled in the lightest of winds and were far from hydrodynamic. So, we designed our own, the Tekrapod.”
His invention is now being promoted on Kickstarter with a comprehensive description and explanatory video and photos.
