Kara Tracey of Corpus Christi, Texas was all smiles before, during and after today’s 10 km race in Lake Mead. No one was more ecstatic after finishing the 2013 U.S. Masters Swimming 10 km open water swimming championships in Lake Mead, Nevada.
“I loved it. I felt good during the race. Lake Mead is really pretty,” said the 18-year-old distance freestyler. “I am a distance swimmer and the longer, the better for me. I plan to do a 27-mile swim next year.”
The longer, the better for sure.
Kara Tracey is shown with the women’s overall winner Lexie Kelly.
