Temafa Yalimaiwai from the Tritons Swimming Club received two awards in his native Fiji: 2014 Open Water Swimmer of the Year and 2014 Record Breaker Award at the Fiji Swimming Awards, sponsored by BSP and Vodafone.

He is one of the stars of the Fiji swimming scene. In 2013, he won awards for the Individual Medley Swimmer, Junior Swimmer, Record Breaker Swimmer, and Distance Freestyler of the Year.

I just like being in the water. I love swimming. I am really inspired by Michael Phelps because he has great discipline.

[For example,] before the Olympics, for five years he did not have any junk food or anything like that. Sometimes, I really want to achieve that sort of discipline.”
