Team Santa Monica Honored In The Water And On Deck

Jordan Wilimovsky of Malibu, California who swims for Team Santa Monica received the Fran Crippen Memorial Male Open Water Swimmer of the Year award at the United States Aquatic Sports Convention in Missouri.

It was an award well-deserved as the 21-year-old Wilimovsky won the USA Swimming and FINA World Championship 10 km titles and qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games.

His coach at Team Santa Monica, Dave Kelsheimer, was also similarly honored and deservedly so. Kelsheimer received the Glen S. Hummer Award together with his fellow coaches in Kazan [Russia] including Catherine Vogt, Dr. Josh White, Eric Posegay, Laurel Liberty, and Bryce Elser. The American open water coaching and support staff at the 2015 FINA World Championships were honored as the individuals who made the greatest contribution to open water swimming in the United States.
