SwimQuest Holidays was nominated for the Best Activity Holiday Company Award in the prestigious British Travel Awards 2016. “We need your help to win,” said founder John Coningham-Rolls.

One of SwimQuest Holidays offerings is a holiday swimming tour of the Lofoten Islands.

SwimQuest Holidays offers a holiday tour oriented around swimming in the Arctic Circle off the coast of Norway amid the archipelago with its jagged cliffs rising from the sea and sea water temperatures ranges between 11-15°C due to the Gulf Stream. “Renowned for an abundance of wildlife including sea eagles, puffins, otters, seals and whales, these far-flung islands are ideal for anyone looking for a challenging and inspiring week of swimming,” describes Coningham-Rolls.

Lofoten’s underwater world is fascinating: floating above glossy, peaceful kelp will make you feel at one with nature – and with the sun on the water, it’s easy to fall in love with the landscape as you swim amongst shoals of fish. The daily swimming distance is approximately 5 km per day, broken into two swims.

For a price of £2,500, accommodation in traditional Norwegian log cabins, a swimming itinerary, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with alcohol included, safety boats, swim guides, one-on-one coaching and video footage to take home, feeds, transfers to and from Svolvaer airport, transport as required during the week, between swims, and VAT are included.”

Voting is conducted online here.
