The top athletes started to swim into and over one another at the end of the men’s 10 km USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships. Above are two different views of the aquatic scrum.
The athletes involved include Andrew Gemmell who swam on the far right and completely avoided the aquatic scrum that involved Ferry Weertman who appeared to swim into Oussama Mellouli who appeared to swim into Alex Meyer and Marc-Antoine Olivier … and vice versa.
