Swimming Downstream In The Randers Open Water

Danielle Keller reported about the successful Randers Open Water river swim in Gudenåen, Denmark this past weekend. “The third annual event went very well with 154 swimmers in the 1K and 5.2K races with water temperature was between 17 and 18.5°C. The 5.2K swim started at Fladbro and went downstream into Randers City, ending Justesens plæne. The 1K ended at the same place with a start 1000 meters upstream.”

Among the competitors, English Channel swimmers Ann Sophie Lønnberg and Peter Schultz participated. The winners included:

1K – Mathilde Stærk (14:43) and Ian Højrup (14:02)
5.2K – Ann Sophie Lønnberg (54:41) and Flemming Sørensen (53:34)
