Suzan On Swimmer Safety

Martin Suzan is an experienced British open water swimming safety officer who directed the on-deck, onshore and in-the-water safety protocols and procedures used at the Big Chill Swim in Windermere, England. He has also been responsible for events ranging from the Great North Swim to the 2012 Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in the Serpentine.

He explains the safety aspects at the Big Chill Swim, a stop on the International Winter Swimming Association World Cup series in 6.4ºC (43.5ºF) water.
