Success Across The Sound – 39 Years of Helping Others In Need

Spread the love

39 years in planning and execution. 39 years of success.

The 39th annual St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound took place this past Saturday on August 1st, featuring 235 swimmers who raised over US$500,000 for local cancer patients and their families. Organized by the indominable, indefatigable International Marathon Swimming Hall of Famer Liz Fry, the proceeds help support cancer patient screenings and living expenses managed by St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Unlike previous years, the course was modified to a coastal course along the Connecticut shoreline from Seaside Park/Bridgeport area to Black Rock Harbor/Captain’s Cove due to marina damage in Port Jefferson.
