Simon Says

Simon Sinek advises, “It’s better to go slow in the right direction than to go fast in the wrong direction.”

Great words to live by, especially for swimmers in the open water.

Sinek also says, “Intelligence looks for what is known to solve problems. Creativity looks for what is unknown to discover possibilities.”

Astute words, for sure.

Perhaps open water swimmers would modify Sinek’s pithy advice as follows: “Swimmers look for known lakes, channels, rivers and islands to challenge themselves. Pioneers looks for unprecedented swims across lakes, channels, rivers and islands to discover the limits of their own potential.”
